Job overview: The VP of Creative Operations is responsible for designing and managing the operational infrastructure that enables BYOMA’s creative & content departments to deliver high-quality work efficiently and consistently. This role sits at the intersection of creative, marketing, graphic design and visual merchandising teams, ensuring that creative output aligns with brand strategy, launches on time, and is executed within budget. BYOMA’s VP of Creative Operations will ensure the seamless execution of campaigns, product launches, retail activations, digital content, and brand assets across all global touchpoints.

Location: Glasgow, Scotland (in office 4 days per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Workflow & Process Management
    • Design and implement efficient creative workflows from briefing through final delivery.
    • Establish clear project management systems, timelines, and approval processes.
    • Oversee the intake and prioritisation of creative requests from marketing, retail, e-commerce, and sales teams.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and on budget.
  • Creative Resource Management
    • Manage creative team capacity and workload planning across designers, copywriters, content team, and external partners.
    • Allocate resources across key initiatives including campaigns, launches, retail activations, and social content.
    • Help recruit and manage external resource including freelancers, agencies, and production partners.
  • Production & Asset Delivery
    • Oversee the production of creative assets including:
    • Campaign imagery and video
    • Social media content
    • E-commerce assets (PDPs, web banners and retail ads)
    • Retail and visual merchandising materials
    • Ensure consistent asset delivery across global markets and channels.
  • Creative Project Management
    • Lead project management frameworks for major initiatives including:
    • New product launches
    • Global brand campaigns
    • Retail rollouts
    • Seasonal marketing activations
    • Track project milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Budget & Vendor Management
    • Manage the creative production budget including shoots, content production, agencies, and freelancers.
    • Negotiate and manage external partners such as photographers, production companies, designers, and studios.
    • Ensure cost efficiency without compromising creative quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as the operational bridge between:
    • Creative
    • Graphic Design
    • Visual Merchandising
    • Brand marketing
    • E-commerce
    • Sales
  • Performance & Operational Efficiency
    • Define and track creative operations KPIs, such as:
    • Project delivery timelines
    • Creative output volume
    • Budget efficiency
    • Asset utilisation
    • Continuously improve processes to increase speed, scalability, and output quality.

Requirements:

  • 8–15+ years experience in: Creative direction, Art direction, Design leadership
  • Experience working in: Beauty, Fashion, Creative agencies
  • Extensive experience leading creative operations or project management within a fast-paced brand, ideally across marketing, content, and design teams
  • Strong expertise in building and optimizing workflows, project management systems, and cross-functional processes
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee external vendors (agencies, freelancers, production partners)
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working across creative, marketing, e-commerce, and sales functions
  • Highly organized and data-driven, with the ability to track KPIs, improve efficiency, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget
