The team
Our Packaging team sits at the intersection of Product Innovation and Quality, translating product vision into tangible, scalable solutions that protect, preserve and elevate the consumer experience. The function ensures that every component not only reflects the brand’s identity and sustainability commitments, but is technically robust, compliant, cost-effective and operationally viable at scale. From concept through to commercialisation, the team partners cross-functionally to develop packaging that meets performance, regulatory and supply requirements, balancing creativity with engineering precision. By integrating design intent with manufacturing capability, logistics considerations and quality standards, Packaging plays a critical role in delivering products that are beautiful, functional and built for global growth.
The role
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, our Packaging Project Assistant will work closely with external suppliers, and internal stakeholders e.g. quality and compliance, design and supply chain to support the Packaging Manager in the delivery of packaging projects, ensuring accurate execution, clear communication, and adherence to project timelines, while developing technical and commercial judgment under senior guidance.
- Support the delivery of packaging projects from concept through to launch under the direction of the Packaging Manager.
- Work within established project management structures, ensuring actions, timings, and deadlines are clearly tracked and met.
- Maintain accurate project plans, trackers, packaging samples, and supporting technical and project documentation.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of packaging samples required for development, testing and approval to support on-time product launches.
- Support department activities through research, information gathering, data collation and analysis.
- Liaise with suppliers and external agencies to gather technical information, samples, and data.
- Support artwork processes from brief through to sign-off, ensuring accuracy, version control, and timely progression.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support agreed development timelines.
- Build technical, regulatory, and commercial understanding through hands-on project exposure and structured mentorship.
- Contribute recommendations and observations for review and discussion, developing packaging judgment over time.
What we're looking for
- 1-3 years’ experience in a project support role. Ideally this would be packaging related with exposure to structured packaging development projects.
- Experience working within a project management framework, with clear understanding of timelines, dependencies, and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Able to work in a fast paced and agile environment.
- Able to build good relationships across multiple departments.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and escalate uncertainty appropriately.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Exposure to beauty, personal care, or FMCG packaging environments.
- Experience supporting custom packaging developments or artwork processes.
- Basic understanding of sustainability considerations in packaging.
- Relevant degree, qualification, or diploma in Packaging, Engineering, Product Design, or similar.
