The Role

Our Finance Analyst is responsible for strengthening our FP&A capability through the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis. You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and performance reporting, while using data, modelling and systems to help improve the quality and efficiency of our financial planning. Working closely with Finance and teams across the business, you’ll help turn data into meaningful insight, support better decision-making and continuously improve how we report and plan as BYOMA continues to scale globally!

  • Working with Finance, IT and other business functions to deliver reporting efficiencies and process improvements utilising Pigment software.
  • Budgeting and forecasting support, with a focus on P&L planning and analysis.
  • Monthly performance reporting, including preparation of reporting packs and supporting analysis.
  • Month-end support, including review of P&L by customer providing explanations for variances vs budget/forecast.
  • Scenario and financial modelling support to help inform business decisions.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis to support the senior management team.
  • Support with investor reporting by preparing the reporting files and checking outputs agree to management accounts.
  • Data quality and process improvement across FP&A reporting, analysis and system outputs.

What we're looking for:

Skills/Experience

  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Experience with Pigment, Anaplan, Power BI or other reporting and planning tools.
  • Experience of using AI tools.
  • Experience with ERP and financial accounting systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial and operational data.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to understand key P&L drivers across sales, COGS, distribution, inbound carriage and G&A costs.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines during month-end, forecasting and investor reporting cycles.

  • Collaborates effectively with Finance and non-Finance teams to gather inputs and explain outputs.

  • Communicates clearly and appropriately, using the right language to flag issues, explain problems and engage Finance and wider stakeholders.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve processes, reporting outputs and data quality.
