Purpose of the role: To provide overall construction delivery leadership for secondary steelwork across the Nuclear Island for Unit 1 and Unit 2, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, within programme and in accordance with the project scope, specifications and applicable nuclear and construction requirements. The role will provide strategic and operational oversight of the secondary steelwork completions team, including the BYLOR Project Managers responsible for the individual areas and work packages, while maintaining overall accountability for the performance and delivery of Tier 2 contractors. The role will ensure that the BYLOR Project Managers are effectively coordinating their respective areas, driving Tier 2 contractor performance, managing interfaces and maintaining alignment with the overall Nuclear Island programme. Reporting directly to the Project Leader, the role will provide clear and timely information on progress, performance, risks, opportunities, constraints and emerging issues affecting secondary steelwork delivery. A key focus will be to establish a consistent approach to secondary steelwork delivery across Unit 1 and Unit 2, ensuring that lessons learned from Unit 1 are captured and embedded into the delivery strategy for Unit 2.
