A leading national insurance law firm is seeking an experienced Supervisor (Solicitor/CILEX Lawyer) to join its growing Casualty Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a personal injury professional looking to take the next step into a supervisory position, within a supportive and high-performing environment.
The team specialises in Employers' Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) claims, handling a broad caseload of litigated matters. You will play a key role in managing and supporting a small team of fee earners while also maintaining your own caseload of mixed-value claims. Candidates based near Birmingham or South Wales are of particular interest, although applications are welcomed nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising and managing a small team of paralegals handling volume litigated EL/PL claims
- Providing technical supervision and ensuring files progress efficiently and compliantly
- Conducting interim and performance reviews and supporting development planning
- Monitoring financial performance and ensuring targets, KPIs and SLAs are met
- Managing workload allocation, deadlines, and file quality across the team
- Identifying and escalating risk and compliance issues where appropriate
- Handling a small caseload of EL/PL matters, including higher-value claims where required
- Acting as a client contact and supporting business development and client relationship initiatives
- Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced paralegal with strong EL/PL or personal injury experience
- Prior supervision experience is advantageous, but candidates looking to step into a supervisory role are encouraged to apply
- Strong technical ability in litigated casualty/personal injury claims
- Confident in managing people, coaching and motivating team members
- Highly organised with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Comfortable working to client SLAs, protocols and KPIs
