We are working with a leading UK law firm who are looking to strengthen their Commercial, Technology and Intellectual Property practice at Associate and Senior Associate level. These roles offer the opportunity to work on high-quality, complex matters for household-name clients across a range of sectors, including technology, brands, retail, automotive, financial services, life sciences and the public sector.
Locations: Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds (hybrid working available)
PQE: Approx. 3+ years (Associate to Senior Associate level)
Salary: Up to 80,000 DOE
The Opportunity
Successful candidates will join a well-established team advising on a mix of commercial contracts, digital and technology projects, sourcing and outsourcing arrangements, and/or intellectual property disputes and advisory work.
The Work
The precise focus of the role will vary, but may include:
- Advising on and negotiating a broad range of commercial and technology agreements, including IT, software, digital transformation, outsourcing and strategic supply arrangements
- Acting on business-critical, often cutting-edge projects involving innovation, data, AI and emerging technologies
- Advising on intellectual property matters including trade marks, copyright, design rights and passing off, including contentious work where relevant
- Supporting clients on complex, high-value matters with a strong commercial and strategic focus
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers (where appropriate)
- Contributing to business development, profile-raising and thought leadership activities
The Candidate
We are keen to speak with Solicitors who:
- Are qualified in England & Wales with at least 3+ years' PQE (up to Senior Associate level)
- Have experience in commercial contracts, technology/TMT, digital & sourcing, and/or intellectual property
- Are commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused
- Enjoy working closely with clients and being trusted advisers
- Are comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Have an interest in developing their practice and profile over the longer term
- Experience in particular sectors (such as technology, brands, retail, financial services, automotive or the public sector) is advantageous but not essential.
