One of our leading law firm clients is growing a team which allows lawyers to work flexibly in a brand new initiative. This is an exciting and flexible new opportunity designed for experienced catastrophic injury lawyers seeking to combine high-quality work with greater control over their working lives. The programme enables Associates to work across the firm's national catastrophic and complex injury teams, providing both exceptional variety and a high degree of autonomy.
Purpose of the role
The initiative was developed to offer maximum flexibility to Associates while supporting the firm's ability to deploy skilled lawyers where they are needed most. Each position is permanent, offering the full Associate benefits package and competitive salary, with the added advantage of flexible working arrangements β including options for extended leave and sabbaticals. Originally designed to support lawyers returning from family or caring responsibilities, the programme has evolved to appeal to mid-level Associates seeking accelerated development or a more balanced career structure.
How it works
Associates in this team are seconded internally to different catastrophic injury departments depending on business needs β for example:
- Covering maternity or long-term sick leave
- Supporting a team experiencing an influx of new work
- Assisting with major new client matters
At the end of each attachment, you may join another team in need of support or take advantage of the flexible time-off arrangements available under this model. At all times, you remain a permanent and valued employee of the firm.
