A leading global law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its market-leading Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I) practice in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-profile cross-border restructuring and distressed situations in the market, alongside internationally recognised specialists.
Location: London
PQE: 1–4 years
Salary: Up to £220,000
The practice is known for advising all key stakeholders in stressed and distressed scenarios, including corporate debtors, lenders, private credit funds, sponsors, distressed investors and insolvency practitioners. Matters are often global in scope, highly strategic and time-critical.
The role sits within the Banking group and has a predominantly non-contentious focus, while also offering exposure to statutory restructuring processes and enforcement-related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on domestic and cross-border restructurings and insolvencies
- Working on financial restructurings, liability management exercises and special situations financings
- Advising on Schemes of Arrangement and Restructuring Plans
- Supporting distressed M&A, liquidity solutions and capital restructurings
- Working closely with colleagues across the US, Europe and Asia on global mandates
About You
- 1–4 years’ PQE with experience in restructuring, insolvency or special situations
- Exposure to acting for lenders, debtors, funds, sponsors or insolvency practitioners
- Comfortable working with a range of financing and security documentation
- Commercial, pragmatic and confident working on complex, fast-moving matters
