Experienced Fee Earner - This Legal 500 Law firm are seeking an experienced fee earner to join its specialist disease litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and technical area of litigation, focusing on the defence of various disease claims.
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £55,000
Previous Experience: A background in disease claims
About the Role
The successful applicant will handle a wide variety of Employer's Liability & Public Liability Disease claims including respiratory and lung disease, skin disease, vibration injuries and occupational cancer, including asbestos-related diseases. The firm boasts an impressive client base, including insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, local authorities, and corporates. Experience in disease claims is highly desirable.
Alongside being responsible for managing and progressing a caseload of litigated disease-related injury claims, you will:
- Conduct investigations, take witness statements, and review medical records and reports
- Collaborate with a large, experienced disease team
- Handle a variety of work on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, and government authorities
- Identify evidence requirements and liaise with third parties for documentation
- Support Partners in growing and maintaining client relationships
- Provide a high level of client service, ensuring professional service delivery at all stages
