The role would suit an ambitious mid-level corporate solicitor with approximately who is looking for high-quality transactional work, early client exposure and a clear opportunity to progress within a supportive national practice.

Introduction to the team

The corporate practice advises a broad range of businesses, investors and management teams on matters including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Private equity transactions
  • Business and asset sales
  • Equity capital markets
  • Joint ventures
  • Corporate reorganisations
  • Shareholder and LLP arrangements

What to expect

You will work alongside experienced corporate lawyers while taking increasing responsibility for your own matters. Depending on your experience, your work will include:

  • Advising on acquisitions, disposals and other corporate transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating share and business asset purchase agreements
  • Supporting private equity investments and management transactions
  • Managing due diligence, data-room and disclosure exercises
  • Preparing disclosure letters and supporting documentation
  • Assisting with IPOs, equity fundraisings and other public company matters
  • Advising on reorganisations, joint ventures and shareholder agreements
  • Supporting business development initiatives and pitches

The successful candidate will benefit from early client contact and the opportunity to lead appropriate workstreams and transactions.

The Partners are looking for strong drafting and technical skills complemented by excellent ‘soft’ skills eg in terms of communication, negotiation and developing relationships etc.
