We are looking for a Regional Aftersales Manager - Commercial Vehicle to join BYD. The role will manage and support key account customers with handling issues in a timely manner. We are ideally looking for a dynamic and passionate sales professional who has strong commercial awareness with a customer-centric ethos to drive service excellence, growth, and profit. The role requires extensive travel throughout the UK. The role reports directly to the Aftersales Manager of commercial vehicle.
Working location: Field based, Scotland

Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage meetings with key account customers independently and with third-party suppliers, ensuring process and support is provided to the key account, issues raised to be effectively managed in a timely manner from start to finish.
- Concise reporting of field aftersales issues raised, information to be disseminated to responsible parties (Aftersales/Sales).
- Control and implement all technical queries/solutions between the U.K and responsible production sites.
- Control and manage VOR costs within SLA framework agreement.
- Co-ordinate and implement service recalls within the key accounts providing a structured approach ensuring correct repair methods are understood and followed by the engineering team.
- Increase revenue potential for downstream products and initiatives.
- Negotiate and manage goodwill issues within BYD aftersales framework for key account customers.
- Budget control for area of responsibility.
- Deputise in the absence of U.K workshop manager.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- In depth understanding of aftersales business.
- Competent grasp of the bus and commercial vehicle industry.
- Proven track record in key account management.
- Ability to plan, budget and manage operations in a highly professional manner.
- Vehicle structure, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Knowledge of warranty, maintenance, and repair contracts.
- Knowledge of parts process.
- Proficient in general IT applications.
- Business management qualification.
- Engineering qualification.
- Ability to work issues, initiatives, and projects through to completion within critical timescales.
- Ability to prioritise ongoing tasks and apply a flexible approach.
- Willingness to travel throughout the U.K and abroad where required.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
