About the role:
This role will play a key role in supporting the business development and aftersales teams by managing and coordinating tender and bid submissions. This position requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure the highest quality proposals are delivered to prospective clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Tender Management: Manage the end-to-end process of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and timelines. Monitor tender portals and identify relevant business opportunities for the company. Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information and documentation for tenders.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, finance, and legal, to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals. Write, edit, and proofread tender documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with BYD's standards and client specifications. Maintain a library of standard proposal content and templates to improve efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all tender-related inquiries and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients or partners. Facilitate meetings and discussions to clarify tender requirements and coordinate project activities.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the tendering landscape. Analyse competitor activities and industry standards to enhance BYD's tender strategies.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records and filing of all tender documentation and correspondence. Track and report on the status of ongoing tenders and submitted proposals.
Your profile:
- Bachelors degree in Business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on tender management and proposal coordination.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with tender management software is a plus.
- Familiarity with the automotive or renewable energy industry is advantageous.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
