Job Description
The Ireland National Sales Manager is responsible for managing effective partnerships with distributors to drive mutually profitable sales and deliver an excellent customer experience. This role requires close collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of sales and supply. As the UK & IE team grows, the role will take on management responsibility for the sales field team.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the rapid growth of the network, ensuring new partners are identified and onboarded effectively, monitoring progress of contractual matters, training, systems access, logistics, sales process, etc.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with distributor partners at both distributor and individual group/retailer levels. A collaborative approach is essential as the brand expands in Ireland, fostering trust and a shared goal.
- Monitor and drive distributor sales performance, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement to grow sales. Spread best practices through meetings and communications.
- Ensure BYD delivers an excellent customer experience by identifying improvement areas and driving change within BYD UK & Ireland or the network.
- Share relevant product, marketing, training, and sales program information effectively with distributor teams.
- Resolve issues experienced by distributors and customers directly or by ensuring the appropriate team members address them effectively. Direct involvement helps identify causes and implement necessary process or system changes.
- Manage wholesale ordering of new vehicles by distributors to ensure stock volume and mix support sales targets and rapid stock turnover.
- Oversee distributor marketing activities and collaborate with the central marketing team to ensure consistency and effectiveness. Analyze activity levels and suggest increased efforts on opportunity channels or models.
- Monitor incoming enquiries, ensure excellent lead management processes, analyze conversion KPIs, and initiate actions to improve enquiry levels and sales processes.
Required skills, qualifications, and experience
- Proven success in the automotive or retail industry.
- Ability to work as part of a small team to launch the brand in the UK and Ireland. Highly adaptable, open to new ideas, and responsible.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and making decisions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to build productive relationships internally and externally.
- Leadership abilities to drive teams towards goals and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
- Willingness to travel internationally for meetings, training, and launch events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with data analysis and report writing skills.
- Right-to-work in the Republic of Ireland.
