Digital Marketing Specialist

About the role

As the Digital Marketing Manager at BYD UK, you will be the core driver of our digital customer touchpoints. You will oversee end-to-end digital infrastructure—spanning official website strategy, UI/UX optimization, CRM lead generation workflows, and email marketing automation. This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed for a self-starter who thrives without heavy agency dependency, seamlessly coordinates cross-border teams (UK, Netherlands, and China HQ), and bridges digital initiatives directly with local sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development Strategy & Cross-Border Collaboration
  1. Formulate and execute local web strategy, aligning digital assets with UK market objectives.
  2. Oversee UI/UX design, landing pages, and content updates (copy, imagery, localized assets).
  3. Coordinate closely with developer and product teams in China HQ and European regional hubs (Netherlands), maintaining strong cross-cultural working relationships and project alignment.
• Site Maintenance & Technical Operations
  1. Manage day-to-day website health, performance optimization, and rapid bug fixing/debugging.
  2. Monitor web analytics, SEO performance, site speed, and user journey flow to boost on-page conversion rates.
• CRM Lead Engine & Project Management
  1. Define and implement CRM lead-generation mechanisms (test drives, dealer inquiries, brochure downloads).
  2. Lead technical project management for lead pipeline integration between the website, dealer management systems (DMS), and central CRM platforms.
• Email Marketing (EDM) & Lifecycle Automation
  1. Develop targeted email marketing strategies covering customer onboarding, launch activations, and lead nurture workflows.
  2. Handle hands-on campaign execution: template building, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and deliverability tracking.
• Cross-Functional Execution & Commercial Alignment
  1. Serve as the digital bridge between Marketing and Sales teams to ensure timely lead qualification, smooth hand-offs, and commercial alignment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of digital marketing experience, ideally within a top-tier technology company, automotive OEM, or leading digital agency.
• Agency Background: Prior digital/creative agency experience is strongly preferred (bringing speed, client-facing ownership, and versatile execution).
• Hands-on & Independent: Proven track record of independently executing projects from strategy to roll-out with minimal agency reliance.
• Technical & Operational Acumen: Proficient with CMS platforms, modern web dev workflows, web analytics (GA4/GTM), CRM lead architecture, and marketing automation tools.
• Global Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to bridge operational differences across multicultural teams (UK / Europe / China HQ).
• Language Skills: Fluent English (professional working proficiency); Mandarin Chinese proficiency is an advantage for direct collaboration with HQ engineering teams.
