About the role:
We are looking for Area Service Manager – Passenger Cars to join BYD. This exciting opportunity has become available due to the company\’s successful growth. The position will play an important role in managing key dealer and fleet customer relationships. The role requires extensive travel throughout the UK. The Area Service Manager reports directly to the Aftersales Manager of passenger cars.
Responsibilities may include:
- Managing primary and retail dealer and/or fleet customer relationships
- Agreeing on Annual Sales Objectives (ASOs) with dealers
- Gaining dealer acceptance to monthly wholesales, providing mix and derivative guidance to minimise stock ageing, and ensuring effective dealer inventory management
- Working with dealers and business customers to achieve sales objectives
- Reviewing dealer market performance to identify sales opportunities and address underperformance
- Delivering and reviewing dealer marketing activities to effectively communicate BYD programmes and drive dealership traffic
- Supporting the launch of new products with comprehensive dealer plans
- Maintaining high product knowledge and inspiring dealers to do the same
- Ensuring clear communication of central messages to the dealer network
- Finalizing contracts, negotiating proposals, calculating margins, and managing budgets
- Performing other duties as assigned by line management
Required skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Bachelor\’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint or similar presentation tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with ownership, and as part of a team
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Chinese language skills are a plus
- Eligibility to work in the UK
