We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Certified Pool Technician to join our team and oversee the care, maintenance, and safety of multiple pool facilities across our properties.

Position Summary

The Certified Pool Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, cleanliness, and compliance of all pools, spas, and related aquatic facilities across our hotel portfolio. This role requires strong technical knowledge of pool systems, proactive problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and cleanliness standards for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections, testing, and treatment of pool and spa water to maintain proper chemical balance and clarity.
  • Monitor and maintain filtration, circulation, and heating systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all pool equipment, including pumps, filters, chlorinators, heaters, and automated control systems.
  • Ensure all pools and spas meet or exceed local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, inspections, and repairs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with hotel management and maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize work across multiple properties.
  • Respond promptly to any pool-related service calls or guest concerns.
  • Maintain pool decks, equipment rooms, and surrounding areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Order and manage inventory of pool chemicals, supplies, and replacement parts.
  • Assist with seasonal openings, closings, and any special projects related to pool operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for pool inspections conducted by health department or regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pool technician, preferably with experience managing multiple commercial pools.
  • Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, water balance, filtration, and sanitation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of local health codes and regulatory compliance for public pools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.
