Encompassing makeup, skincare, and fragrance, BY TERRY is stocked in more than 20 markets and represented in some of the world's most prestigious stores, including Harrods, Galeries Lafayette, Space NK & Sephora.
The Retail Manager is responsible for achieving and exceeding national sales targets in the UK Market through finding and implementing business solutions at POS, developing partnerships at counter and store management levels. An ambassador for the Brand, the Retail Manager will reflect the brand values and customer base.
Responsibilities include:
- Achieving optimal financial results through the empowerment of the field sales team to maximise sales potential and ensuring superior service to customers.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, anticipating needs, and identifying business challenges while executing sales, training, and merchandising with excellence.
- Exuding passion and enthusiasm for the Brand to the field and store retail teams, developing a unique and personalised working relationship with Retail partners.
- Managing the in-store execution of the UK sales strategy to achieve targets.
- Determining, driving, and tracking sales targets to meet and exceed plans and KPIs.
- Travelling regularly with the team to provide feedback, coaching, and support to ensure achievement of business objectives.
- Analysing sales data and reporting figures, ensuring brand expectations on NPD, hero 5, and core sales divisions are met.
- Leading and developing the team to foster a culture of high performance.
- Providing ongoing performance management through coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
- Overseeing local application of expenditure within agreed budget including incentives, commissions, bonus structure, and staffing budget.
- Reviewing the implementation of visual merchandising, new launch displays, and collateral placement as directed by the marketing team.
- Ensuring visual merchandising in the field consistently meets brand guidelines and expectations.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene standards throughout the region.
- Working in close partnership with the Training team to ensure that the Training focus and strategy is achieved.
- Assessing performance of teams and proactively anticipating staffing needs, including sourcing and selecting talent.
- Recruiting and hiring the best professionals who embody the brand.
- Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of open and positive communication, professionalism, and creativity through team meetings and a collaborative management style.
Requirements:
- Proven management experience of multi-site accounts in a retail environment.
- Experience within the beauty industry, particularly Makeup and Skincare.
- Natural tendency for problem solving and ability to remain calm under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet timelines.
- Computer literacy; strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexible attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
- The ability and willingness to travel are required for this role.
- Premium Beauty, Cosmetics or Fragrance industry experience.
- Understanding and experience of working with national department store chains.
- Experience of successfully developing excellent customer relationships at a national and local level.
