Are you a passionate WordPress Developer with a strong focus on e-commerce, eager to make a significant impact within a collaborative and innovative team? We’re looking for a talented individual to join our close-knit team in Manchester and play a key role in enhancing our WooCommerce stores.

You’ll be instrumental in developing and optimizing front-end systems, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for our e-commerce platforms. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to staying ahead of the curve in web technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality WordPress and WooCommerce solutions: Build robust, scalable, and secure e-commerce features and functionalities.
  • WooCommerce customization and optimization: Extend and configure WooCommerce to meet specific business requirements, improving performance and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: Work effectively with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug: Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring site stability and optimal performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends: Continuously research and implement emerging web technologies, best practices, and security standards to drive innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong commercial portfolio showcasing successful e-commerce projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with WooCommerce, including custom theme & plugin development, plugin integration, and API utilisation.
  • Solid understanding of PHP and WordPress best practices for development.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and articulate technical concepts clearly.
  • Proactive and self-motivated: A strong desire to learn, adapt, and contribute to a dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to analyze complex issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Additional preferred skills: Experience with other e-commerce platforms, knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce, familiarity with performance optimization techniques for WordPress/WooCommerce, experience with RESTful APIs, an understanding of accessibility and WCAG standards.
