With over 500 workers across locations in Peterborough, Toronto, and Arnprior, BWXT NEC supplies nuclear fuel and fuel channel components, services, equipment and parts for the CANDU® nuclear power industry.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner for our Peterborough, Ontario site. BWXT NEC's Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions group is involved in the design, manufacture, development, testing, parts supply, and service of on-power refueling, reactor maintenance, and nuclear medicine delivery tooling sold around the world. We aim to solve some of the Nuclear Industry’s most challenging problems.

The Opportunity

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a key role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent to support BWXT's continued growth. Partnering closely with leaders across our Fuel and Fuel Handling divisions within Commercial Operations, you'll help shape recruitment strategies, enhance candidate experiences, and build strong talent pipelines that support our future workforce needs.

Your Day to Day

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection. Review and assess candidate qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Assess local labour market conditions, including skilled trades and engineering shortages, and provide recommendations regarding recruitment strategies and job vacancies.
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Consultation: Build strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders. Provide recruitment expertise and guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruitment events. Develop partnerships with educational institutions, staffing agencies, industry organizations, and community partners.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Promote and administer the Employee Referral Program.
  • Participate in committees, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in recruitment or a human resources environment.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, recruitment processes, and employment legislation.
  • Experience using AI-enabled sourcing and recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, GrayScale, or similar platforms.
