A wonderful opportunity has arisen with this climate change and net zero NGO for a Company Secretary to join them on a permanent, part-time basis. With reporting lines to the General Counsel and CEO, this registered charity is seeking the knowledge and skills of an experienced governance professional in ensuring best practice governance at board level that is in line with Charity Commission rules and guidance, and company law.
This role would provide complete freedom in focusing on key governance projects and initiatives at board level. Many administrative elements of the role, such as minute-taking and management of the board calendar, will be overseen by the Company Secretary but carried out by another member of the CEO Office. The organisation also uses an external company secretarial service provider to effect board filings and serve as a registered address.
You will serve as key contact for two boards on all governance matters and as such must demonstrate excellent experience and gravitas of operating at this level. It is likely to be a 2 days per week role, but some flexibility will be needed when required to meet the needs of the role.
A truly wonderful role to be able to make a real difference at the highest level within an interesting and worthy organisation. A full job description is available on request.
