Our client is a global insurance platform founded in 2009. The Head of Company Secretariat is keen to recruit someone to work closely with her to maintain and embed the governance framework, including statutory returns and board support work, in what will be a two person team. This role would suit a pro-active candidate, ideally with some previous exposure to company secretarial/governance work and with the drive to progress their career. This is an excellent chance to grow and learn fast with a highly supportive and well-regarded professional, as the team is small you will have the chance to see all work up close. CGI study support will be provided if required.

The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Basic awareness of corporate governance and company secretariat support activities, with a willingness to learn statutory requirements
  • Financial services exposure helpful but not required
  • Interest in governance or company secretarial work, with openness for future study
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Any exposure to governance systems such as Diligent Boards and Entities helpful but not expected
  • Experience supporting meetings, including taking clear and accurate minutes, or a willingness to develop this skill
  • Strong administrative capability with good attention to detail
  • Clear and professional communication style
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive and proactive approach, comfortable supporting a busy board and committee schedule
