Our client seeks an Assistant Secretary to join their legal and company secretarial team on an interim basis - a maternity cover that will be offered as a 12 month fixed term contract. Ideally you'll be immediately available or available at short notice as they are keen to enable a handover period with the current postholder before they leave in May.
In this role you will support the General Counsel & Company Secretary to provide full company secretarial/governance support for the Executive Management Committee, Operations Committee and Board of Directors. This will be a highly visible role in a small team, and you will liaise at all levels within the company.
This role would suit a part/fully qualified candidate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience who:
- Has experience of managing and minuting board and committee meetings
- Has integrity and high level of discretion
- Has experience of governance in a financial services/regulated organisation
- Charity experience would be desirable, not essential
- Has experience of using Board meeting software, eg NASDAQ Board Vantage and Board Intelligence Minute Writer
- Has gravitas and is a good communicator – both written and verbal
- Has exceptional work ethic and who will be a strong team player
- Has a good sense of humour and who will be a team fit
The client is offering a competitive salary and the company have a hybrid working policy of three days in the office, two from home. The office is based in Central London. A full job description is available on request.
