This well-known retail brand and constituent of the FTSE 250 is now seeking to appoint a new Deputy Company Secretary on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Company Secretary & Legal Director, this is an incredibly wide-ranging role with day-to-day responsibility for all company secretarial and corporate governance matters - including deputising for the Company Secretary when required.
This role does not have any direct reports and should be viewed in many respects as a standalone role, although there is some shared admin resource within the immediate team. You'll need to be a Chartered Secretary with strong listed company experience, showing you can lead from the front in this autonomous, hands-on role.
Responsibility for the Company's sharesave scheme and executive share plans also forms part of the duties of the postholder (in conjunction with external providers), so working knowledge of share plans would be of particular benefit.
A full job description is available on request - the role would ideally be based from the company's SW office, although they do offer flexible working and do also have an office location in central London.
