We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Application Thermal Simulation Engineer to join our Simulation group within the Engineering Office at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us achieve podiums and race wins.

Your Challenge
As an Application Thermal Simulation Engineer, you will be at the heart of thermal performance development, designing and simulating engine cooling systems and corner thermal models for our Formula 1 cars. Your focus will be on 1D simulation and performance optimization, ensuring that our thermal systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and innovation.
You will work closely with design, performance, and trackside teams to develop predictive models, validate them with experimental data, and contribute to the continuous evolution of our thermal systems. You will also be expected to support the Operation Room during race weekends and collaborate sporadically with the RST Team, ensuring simulation insights are effectively translated into trackside performance.
Who We Want
We are looking for someone with a strong background in thermal systems engineering, ideally with 5+ years of experience in high-performance motorsport or automotive environments. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is required.
You should have:
- Proven experience in 1D thermal simulations (e.g., engine cooling loops, brake cooling, corner thermal models).
- Strong knowledge of thermal-fluid dynamics, heat exchangers, and system-level thermal management.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as Amesim, GT-Suite, or Dymola.
- Experience with data correlation, model validation, and experimental data analysis.
- Familiarity with 3D CFD tools (e.g., StarCCM, OpenFoam) is a plus.
- Skills in Matlab, Python, or similar for data processing and automation.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation and performance.
- Willingness to support race operations and collaborate with trackside teams when needed.
