Salary: £26-27k (dependent on experience). You are a talented PR Account Executive with 6-12 months’ experience delivering newsworthy PR campaigns for clients. You’re experienced in, and passionate about, both B2B PR (must have) and B2C PR (nice to have). You’re looking to develop your skills in a local agency where you will be mentored and supported to achieve your potential.
We are a Marlow-based Integrated Marketing agency looking to add another Account Executive to our PR team to support us delivering impactful consumer and trade PR campaigns for the retail and destination brands we work with.
BWP is an award winning destination marketing agency. We elevate brands with impactful, creative strategies that bring people to places to achieve commercial growth. Our work supports the growth of household name retail destinations like Trafford Centre, Livington Designer Outlet and Junction 32 as well as retail brands like Kärcher, Briggs & Stratton and Wines of Lisboa.
All our employees enjoy the standard benefits you’d expect - a competitive salary (in this case £26k+); 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and an extra day for your birthday; and a pension scheme. Plus, we also offer:
- Hybrid working – everyone at the agency enjoys three days collaborating and building strong working relations with colleagues in our Marlow town centre offices (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday) and two days working from anywhere.
- Company bonus scheme (discretionary) – if BWP does well, so do you. Our Account Executives can get up to 4% of annual salary as a bonus.
- Bespoke Personal Development Plans and the mentoring and support you need to pave your way to Senior Account Executive and beyond.
- A busy social calendar with regular company socials.
- A culture of appreciation, reward, and recognition with monthly and quarterly awards and celebrations.
- Company wellbeing programme including a free counselling service as needed.
Our PR AEs are the backbone of the PR team working alongside the wider PR team to deliver effective PR and communication strategies. You’ll spend most of your time in ‘client delivery mode’, providing Account Managers and Account Directors with the day-to-day support and administration they need to drive forward campaign delivery including:
- Media sell-in – you’ll be building and using your own enviable little black book of media contacts.
- Copywriting – drafting press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and other content.
- Creative idea generation – actively participating in brainstorms and meetings.
- Reporting – attending status calls, writing status reports, drafting monthly reports.
Your role will also involve building and maintaining healthy client relationships, maintaining regular contact with clients, and managing their expectations (directly or through your Account Manager). With your professional development front of our mind, you’ll be supported to learn all you can about both B2B and B2C PR, account handling and client relationship management.
We’re looking for someone with 6-12 months of demonstrable experience in a PR role (which may have been work experience during your degree). B2B PR experience is a must have and ideally some, or all, of your work experience will have been in an agency.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys and has experience of the more traditional aspects of PR and Comms.
- Possesses the journalistic skills required to tell a story in infinite, compelling ways.
- Has strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and can quickly, easily and confidently build strong working relationships with the media, clients and suppliers.
- Has a great attitude and a willingness to work hard, take direction, and develop.
- Isn’t afraid to say what you think and challenges expectations and assumptions.
- Enjoys pushing boundaries and finding new, creative ways of doing things.
- Wholeheartedly loves PR.
- Works hard to deliver results and is enthusiastic about creating an environment where you thrive and where every day feels fulfilling.
- Is focused on delivering razor sharp results and tangible outcomes and making a positive impact on clients, colleagues and the wider community.
- Is fun, friendly and driven to use your heart as well as your head.
- Can be office-based in Marlow three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
If this sounds like the role for you and you tick our ideal candidate boxes, we welcome your application. Successful applicants will be invited to have an interview on Teams with one of our PR Account Managers. Nail that interview and you’ll be invited into the office to meet a few more of the team you’ll be working with. Wow them, and the job’s yours. Please note, we’re aiming to appoint the right candidate to start as soon as possible; therefore applications will be considered as they are received. We typically respond to all applicants within two weeks of applying.
