Position Overview
As an Immigration Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive advice and representation to clients on various immigration matters. You will work closely with businesses, guiding them through the process of obtaining UK sponsor licences and advising on the recruitment of overseas talent. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring compliance with Home Office regulations and supporting clients in navigating the complexities of Immigration Law.
Responsibilities
- Advise businesses on UK immigration laws and policies
- Apply for UK sponsor licences for overseas recruitment
- Guide clients through Skilled Worker application process
- Assist with Right to Work checks before employment
- Support clients with EU Settlement Scheme applications
- Manage and maintain sponsor management systems
- Prepare and submit visa extension applications
- Represent clients in immigration hearings and appeals
- Stay current with changes in immigration legislation
- Draft legal documents, including petitions and briefs
- Liaise with government agencies, embassies, and consulates
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication
- Efficiently manage diverse caseload, meeting strict deadlines
Requirements
- 5+ years\’ experience in UK immigration law
- Strong knowledge of business and corporate immigration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage caseload under pressure
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and analytical skills
- Empathetic and discreet in handling sensitive matters
