We are recruiting for a well-established and forward-thinking law firm based in South Essex, known for delivering a high-quality and efficient legal service. This firm has revolutionised the use of technology to drive forward efficiencies whilst ensuring a tailored and quality client service. This is a senior leadership position for an ambitious and experienced Family Solicitor who is ready to take the lead in a busy and growing department.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, leading and mentoring junior team members, and playing a key role in the strategic development of the firm's family offering.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Family Law department
  • Handle complex and varied casework
  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy proceedings
  • Non-molestation orders
  • Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements
  • Cohabitation
  • Child Arrangements, Adoptions, Social Services
  • Forced Marriages
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior solicitors and support staff
  • Ensure high standards of client care and compliance
  • Contribute to business development and departmental growth
  • Work closely with the firm's management team on strategy and performance
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Family Law experience with 7+ years PQE
  • Proven experience handling complex family matters independently
  • Prior supervisory or management experience (essential)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A client-focused and commercial approach
  • Ideally someone who is IT savvy and able to utilise technology
