We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join an established, Lexcel-accredited law firm, working within its finance team. This is a superb opportunity to work within a professional legal environment, playing a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the firm's financial operations while supporting colleagues across the firm.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing client and office account transactions in accordance with SRA rules
- Processing payments, receipts and account transfers accurately and efficiently
- Carrying out daily reconciliations of client and office bank accounts
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, accounting procedures and internal policies
- Assisting with month-end and year-end finance processes
- Liaising with fee earners, clients and third parties to resolve financial queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit and compliance requirements
- Providing general support to the finance team and assisting with ad-hoc accounting duties as required.
You will ideally have previous legal accounts experience and a good understanding of the SRA rules. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence managing a varied workload are essential.
