We are seeking a Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join a legal practice with a strong presence across Essex and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity to join a clinical negligence department with exposure to an interesting caseload and enjoy a flexible and collaborative working environment.
Position Overview
You'll join a team of dedicated professionals handling a broad spectrum of clinical negligence matters. From birth injury claims and surgical errors to misdiagnosis and care home negligence, you'll be trusted to manage your own caseload of litigated and pre‐litigated files with the full support of experienced secretarial and administrative staff. The role offers high‐quality, varied work across a diverse client base, while giving you the platform to further develop your expertise within a recognised and respected team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims, both pre and post litigation
- Assist senior solicitors with complex, high‐value matters
- Draft letters of claim, witness statements and other key legal documentation
- Deliver empathetic and clear client care throughout each case
- Collaborate with team members and support the continued growth of the department
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2+ years' PQE
- Demonstrable interest or experience in clinical negligence law
- Excellent communication skills and a client‐focused approach
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and organised mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
