We are working with a highly respected law firm in Essex who are recruiting for a Planning Solicitor or experienced Paralegal to be part of their collaborative and close-knit department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about planning law to take on a diverse and challenging role within a supportive and progressive environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate infrastructure agreements including s106, s38, s272, and s104
- Provide practical, strategic advice on planning law matters
- Prepare and submit applications for certificates of lawfulness
- Represent clients in planning appeals and enforcement matters
- Handle statutory challenges (s288) and judicial reviews
- Act for both prosecuting and defending parties in enforcement cases
- Build strong client relationships and act in their best interests
- Support the team in developing new business and strengthening referrer networks
Qualifications
- Experience in Planning Law, gained in either local government or private practice
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career in this specialist area
- Strong reputation for delivering clear, high-quality advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident in networking
