Consulting Actuary, Pensions/ Retirement Specialist

Remuneration: Consulting Actuary: £85,000-100,000, Senior Consulting Actuary: £100,000-135,000 (flex) +bonus (private healthcare from day 1, generous employer pension contribution, extensive wellbeing benefits/ rewards)

Location: Bristol City Centre, 2-3x/week in the office

I am working with a client in building out their successful Bristol-based Pensions Actuarial team. This consultancy boasts a truly collaborative environment, with everyone in the business having an appointed mentor/ career coach to guide them through the progression pathway, as well as the business offering a wide-scope of exposure in the pensions landscape.

The role:

• Lead client relationships- drafting reports, attending meetings, providing solutions
• Provide comprehensive advice across complex matters- investing assets, de-risking, longevity, risk management and legislation
• Manage/ develop your portfolio of corporate and scheme actuary appointments
• Pitch for new business
• Check/ review the work of team members and junior colleagues

The individual:

• Qualified Actuary- FIA (highly experienced but unqualified individuals will be considered)
• 5+ years of direct DB pensions experience within a UK EBC
• Client facing experience
• Wide understanding of current issues that DB schemes face
• Project management experience
• Scheme Actuary Cert advantageous, not essential
