A leading private bank is seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to lead on the resolution of complex and sensitive lending cases at the advanced recovery stage. This is a unique opportunity to combine strong credit and recoveries expertise with empathetic relationship management in a highly values-driven environment.
The Role
- Own and manage a portfolio of clients with non-performing or distressed loans.
- Develop and implement bespoke strategies to support positive outcomes for both clients and the bank.
- Engage closely with internal teams (Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance) to ensure cases are handled in a compliant and commercially sound manner.
- Prepare customer reviews and recovery proposals under delegated credit authority.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues as needed, maintaining high service standards and internal collaboration.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in credit, arrears management, recoveries or restructuring, within private or commercial banking.
- Confidence in managing sensitive or vulnerable client situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (FCA/PRA); CeMAP preferred or willingness to gain.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
