Instead of repetitive calculation cycles, you will use your DB pensions background in a strategic, governance-led role, working directly with professional trustees, advisers, scheme sponsors, and administrators, within a market-leading, independent professional trustee firm.
The focus is on driving scheme strategy, governance, and effective decision-making across a varied portfolio of pension schemes.
The role:
- Collaborating with Client Managers and Professional Trustees to coordinate scheme governance activities
- Planning and coordinating Trustee meetings, preparation, board packs, minute-taking
- Preparing, reviewing, and managing pension scheme budgets and adviser fee allocations
- Liaising directly with scheme actuaries, legal advisers, administrators, and sponsoring employers to ensure statutory deadlines and governance standards are met
The individual:
- Strong DB pensions background gained within an actuarial consultancy, trustee services, or technical pensions environment
- Ideally suited to an actuarial exam stopper or senior analyst/ admin looking to pivot into professional trusteeship and scheme governance
- Solid understanding of UK DB pension scheme operations, funding, and regulatory requirements
