Senior Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions – Industrials

London (City), Hybrid

£120,000 - £130,000 + bonus & Bens


We are working with a leading financial advisory, investment and banking firm with a strong track record in the industrials sector. Do you have more than 3 years of experience in the M&A industrials sector, but looking for a better work life balance?


You would specialize in delivering strategic M&A solutions to global clients, helping them unlock growth, optimize operations, and navigate complex transactions. The culture is collaborative, high-performance, and client-focused, offering a dynamic environment for talented professionals.


You will play a critical role in executing buy-side and sell-side transactions, supporting senior leadership in deal origination, and leading junior team members. This position offers significant exposure to high-profile clients, complex cross-border deals, and the opportunity to shape strategic outcomes in the industrials space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions from initial pitch through to closing
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation, and modelling
  • Prepare and deliver client-ready presentations, marketing materials, and pitch books
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts, liaising with clients, legal advisors, and counterparties
  • Support origination efforts through industry research and idea generation
  • Mentor and oversee analysts and associates on deal teams
  • Maintain strong industry knowledge in the industrials sector and build client relationships

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in M&A, investment banking with a Tier one bank with industrials expertise.
  • Strong transaction execution experience, preferably in the industrials sector
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
