Resourcing Manager (12-month Mat Cover)
London (Hybrid) | Professional Services
If you’ve ever been the go-to person for balancing plates, untangling resourcing headaches, and keeping high-performing teams firing on all cylinders, this one’s for you.
I’m hiring for a Resourcing Manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave at a genuinely brilliant professional services firm. They’re a growing, award-winning organisation operating at the sharp end of governance and consulting. The work is meaningful, the people are sharp, and the environment is high-trust, low-ego.
What you\'ll be doing:
- Optimising resource allocation across client-facing teams (think utilisation, capacity forecasting, skills alignment)
- Working closely with senior leadership to keep client work resourced effectively and sustainably
- Managing leavers, joiners, promotions, and transitions, keeping everything smooth, planned, and people-first
- Partnering with HR, BD and Operations to pre-empt pinch points and plan ahead
- Analysing utilisation, skill gaps and performance data to shape hiring and workforce decisions
- Acting as a trusted advisor, not just a spreadsheet operator, to team leads and stakeholders
You\'ll be great at this if:
- You’ve done a similar role before, such as Resourcing Manager, Workforce Planning or Project Deployment
- You know how to balance commercial priorities with people development and wellbeing
- You’re confident challenging senior stakeholders (nicely) and you bring solutions, not just problems
- You’re organised, analytical and just a bit obsessive about keeping the wheels turning smoothly
- Experience in professional services (legal, consulting, accountancy etc.) is a big bonus
If you\'re a resource planning pro who thrives in fast-paced, high-calibre environments, drop me a message or apply below and let’s talk.
