I am working with a leading consultancy expanding its specialist Projects Team. This national role focuses on delivering large-scale, data-intensive, and technically challenging projects across Benefit Rectification, Insurance Readiness, and GMP Equalisation. The firm is known for a culture that rewards high performance and is open to permanent, fixed-term contract (FTC), or day-rate contract arrangements for this role. Immediately available candidates are a priority due to the workload.

The role:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex actuarial and data projects, overseeing dedicated delivery teams to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice throughout the project.
  • Resolve complex, non-standard cases and support the development of solutions for niche actuarial issues (initially heavily focused on GMP Equalisation).
  • Work across multiple UK offices and teams, sharing knowledge and best practices across the wider business.

The individual:

  • 6 years + experience in a Technical pensions role.
  • You do not have to be a qualified Actuary, but an actuarial skillset is required (FIA is a bonus).
  • Project experience, specifically covering GMPe.
  • Must have held a project lead/full ownership role and worked on large, complex pension projects.
  • Excellent client-facing, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.
