Looking for a leadership role where you can shape the regulatory landscape and drive positive consumer outcomes? A leading financial services firm is hiring a Head of Training & Competence, responsible for overseeing Appointed Representatives (ARs) and Advisers, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, and strengthening the firm’s Supervision Framework.

You will:

  • Lead and evolve the Supervision Framework, ensuring robust oversight of ARs and advisers in line with FCA expectations.
  • Own the T&C policy, schemes, and licensing structure, driving a best-in-class regulatory strategy.
  • Manage a large-scale team of T&C Managers and Supervisors.
  • Influence executive-level stakeholders and drive change at a strategic level.
  • Deliver key regulatory controls, including SMCR Certification & Conduct Rules.
  • Represent the business at industry events, positioning it at the forefront of T&C oversight.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record in T&C Scheme design, AR oversight, and FCA compliance.
  • Experience leading large teams through regulatory change.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing at Executive & Senior Leadership level.
  • SMCR experience with a working knowledge of FCA expectations.
  • Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent experience).
