Life & Pensions Actuarial Hiring Lead | Principal Consultant at BWD
Location: UK-wide, hybrid, with offices in major cities

I am managing a confidential search for several Partner-level leaders for a PE-backed Pensions Actuarial practice that is entering a new, well-funded investment cycle. This opportunity is for a leader who is motivated by a substantive new challenge and wants a direct stake in the outcome. This is a highly autonomous role with a clear path to equity partnership (or entrance at this level) and uncapped earning potential, directly linked to the growth you help create.
The role:
- Drive new business with existing and new clients, utilising your personal network.
- Lead consulting advice to a range of clients, differing in size, complexity and service line.
- Challenge conventional thinking and drive innovation within the practice.
- Involved in influencing the strategic direction of the business.
- Coaching and mentoring team members at all levels.
The individual:
- FIA Partner: ~20+ years. Trustee or Corporate-side experience with direct input on journey planning advice.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen. Experience in tender submissions/leading pitches.
- Proven ability to lead engagements for a diverse client portfolio (below and above £1bn), no matter the scheme size/complexity.
- Practising SA cert, or acting 'as number 2' on clients.
