A standout consulting role for a qualified DB actuary seeking rapid progression, greater direct client visibility, and the freedom to shape their split between Corporate Consulting and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT).
The focus is on delivering high-impact strategic advice to corporate sponsors and trustees, with full flexibility to focus solely on Corporate, purely on PRT, or a balanced blend across both
The role
- Advising clients on scheme funding, corporate pension strategy, accounting disclosures, and risk management
- Supporting the execution of bulk annuity and de-risking transactions: insurer engagement, pricing, and deal implementation
- Immediate scope to lead client relationships, attend meetings regularly, and contribute to business development and RFP proposal responses
- Opportunity to manage and mentor junior actuarial team members (with no prior management experience required, optional responsibility)
The individual
- Qualified Actuary (FIA) or near-qualified with solid UK Defined Benefit pensions consulting experience. Also open to more senior individuals (5-10 years PQE)
- Background gained within a major EBC, Big 4, or established actuarial consultancy
- Experience supporting corporate consulting, risk transfer, or a desire to split your focus across both disciplines
- Strong commercial acumen with a collaborative, client-facing mindset
