Actuary

(Qualified & Part-Qualified), x3 roles

Location: Birmingham city centre, hybrid working (2-3x/week in office)

Salary:

  • Qualified, £65,000-90,000
  • Part-Qualified, £40,000-60,000

An independent pensions consultancy is expanding its Actuarial team in a new, vibrant Birmingham city centre office. For over 20 years, this ~500-strong firm has built a culture free from chargeable hour targets, combining large-company resources with the agility of a smaller, innovative business.

I am hiring x3 Pensions Actuaries (Qualified and Part-Qualified), ideally with experience from an Employee Benefits Consultancy (EBC).

The role

  • Liaising with and leading on client relationships, providing advice to achieve their objectives
  • Completing Actuarial calculations/ valuations
  • Ensuring compliance with scheme rules and legislation
  • Developing junior colleagues
  • Involvement in Business Development, influencing the strategic direction of the team

The individual:

  • Qualified Actuary or Part-Qualified, min 2 years of experience for PQ in a consulting environment
  • Strong UK DB core actuarial work
  • Excellent communicator

If part-qualified, study support will be provided, and any exam clawback costs from your current employer will be taken care of by the firm, making your move a seamless transition.
