CNC Machine Operator
£29,719.40 per year | Crownhill, Milton Keynes | Four-day working week
Looking for a hands-on manufacturing role with Fridays off? Join BWC Profiles operating CNC machinery to produce aluminium and plastic components.
This is a machine-operating role using existing programmes. You do not need to be a CNC programmer. Previous experience operating machinery in a factory or manufacturing environment is desirable, and we provide training on our equipment.
Hours and location
- Monday to Thursday, 7am–7pm.
- 44 paid working hours per week.
- One hour of unpaid breaks per shift.
- Fridays off.
- Based at our factory in Crownhill, Milton Keynes.
What you’ll do
- Load and unload materials and operate our CNC machining centre.
- Run existing programmes to machine holes, slots and other features into aluminium and plastic profiles.
- Use our semi-automatic saw to cut material to length.
- Follow work instructions and check components against drawings and measurements.
- Inspect and pack finished parts for despatch or the next production stage.
- Record production and quality checks and report any problems.
- Keep your work area safe, clean and organised.
What we’re looking for
- Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience is desirable.
- CNC operating experience is an advantage, but programming experience is not required.
- Care and accuracy when following instructions and checking finished parts.
- Confidence using basic measurements and a willingness to learn to read our production drawings.
- Basic computer skills.
- A reliable approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
