The Birmingham Women’s Hospital Facilities Department has a vacancy within the housekeeping supervisory department. The post holders will be required to undertake a full range of housekeeping supervisor duties within our busy hospital. Experience is preferred.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful candidates will form part of our existing housekeeping management team.
  • The post holders will be directly responsible to the Housekeeping Team Leaders to ensure the trust receives the highest quality of cleaning throughout the hospital site.

Person specification:

Knowledge/Experience
  • Previous Domestic services experience
  • Sound knowledge of cleaning services
  • Experience of prioritising work and able to identify priority areas
  • Knowledge of staff allocation, rotas and record keeping
  • Experience of handling difficult situations and problem solving
  • Able to complete absence and sickness records of staff and control annual leave.
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience of working in a team and of training others
