This is driven by our dedicated Environmental & Sustainability team, who are committed to making a meaningful impact within the industry. Reporting to the Head of Environmental & Sustainability, the successful candidate will support the development and delivery of our environmental and sustainability strategy across the business and with our clients, ensuring we continue to deliver sustainable, successful projects. A strong understanding of construction is essential to add value in this role.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Support project teams during tender stages, proposing initiatives that enhance our sustainability offering
- Contribute to the development of the company’s 3 Layers Strategy and Net Zero offering
- Research and promote innovative approaches to achieve our sustainability ambitions, including developing business cases
- Act as a key contact supporting the successful implementation of Q Flow across all projects
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to support BW in achieving Net Zero by 2030
- Assist the Social Value Manager in delivering the Social Value Strategy
- Attend interviews to represent BW and contribute to tender questionnaire responses
- Carry out internal audits and analysis of environmental performance on site, producing reports where required
- Support the delivery of certified projects through effective communication with site and consultant teams
- Develop and deliver Environmental Awareness training to internal staff
- Maintain active communication across the business, sharing updates on environmental initiatives
- Attend seminars and training to stay up to date with industry best practice
Skills & Experience
- Strong drive and resilience, with the ability to deliver in a demanding environment
- Curious mindset, willing to challenge the status quo
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Word
- Approximately 3 years’ relevant experience
- Strong team player
