Purpose
To lead the strategic and operational management of IT systems, infrastructure, and digital services across the organisation. This includes ensuring secure, reliable, and future-ready technology; driving user adoption; managing IT assets and service providers; and aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of IT support services, including onboarding, training, and digital orientation for all users.
- Ensure consistent, high-performing technology access across the organisation – including devices, systems, and connectivity.
- Oversee timely troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of hardware and software, either in-house or through service providers.
- Manage information security protocols in line with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and ISO 19650 – with regular audits and user education.
- Set, manage, and monitor the IT budget for the organisation and individual departments, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Maintain accurate inventory, licensing, and lifecycle management of all IT assets and systems.
- Build and manage relationships with technology suppliers, software vendors, and service partners.
- Advise on infrastructure needs and lead the procurement of equipment, software, and digital services in line with operational needs and security standards.
- Supervise the IT team, including support, infrastructure, networking, and procurement specialists – ensuring high performance, development, and accountability.
- Create and regularly test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss, cyberattacks, and power outages.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, cloud solutions, AI tools, and digital trends relevant to the industry.
- Represent the organisation at relevant trade shows, seminars, and vendor workshops to maintain industry insight and innovation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, not necessarily in the AEC space.
- Strong understanding of network management, cyber security frameworks, cloud services, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 19650, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Experience managing budgets, IT procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a user-focused approach to IT service delivery.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Please note this role is office based 5 days a week in London.
