BW Workplace Experts is looking for Commercial Managers to join the team, reporting directly into our Commercial Director. This role is key as we go through an exciting period of growth and take on new projects.
Job Scope Overview:
- Pre-construction Support: Assist the Pre-construction team during the tender stage with tasks such as input on supply chain lists, scope definitions, contract amendments, commercial write-ups, and attending post-tender interviews.
- Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) & Financial Monitoring: Monitor and challenge CVRs, ensuring they are accurate and timely. Work with sub-contractors to ensure cost and value certainty while managing potential risks and delays.
- Contract & Legal Management: Collaborate with the Commercial Director to manage legal and client financial matters, reviewing contracts for financial implications.
- Valuations & Payments: Lead the valuation process, ensuring timely issuance and approval of sub-contract payments.
- Tendering & Procurement: Take a leading role in the commercial aspects of tender submissions, contractor selection, and compliance with due diligence.
- Project & Client Management: Once a project is secured, monitor procurement and project requirements. Support business development and client relationship management.
- Business Development: Engage in networking to introduce new clients and provide leads to the Business Development team.
- Defect-Free Process: Ensure projects are completed in line with the Defect-Free process, embedding this culture across teams.
- Data Utilization & Reporting: Utilize supply chain intelligence for procurement scheduling and ensure timely reporting of key project data.
