A fundamental part of our success is the ability to be consistent throughout the business, maintaining the high standards of the BW brand. The role of a Senior Bid Designer is to bring support, creativity and innovation to all BW documentation. Reporting directly to the Head of Creative Services, you will be responsible for tender collateral, presentations and innovative ideas, as well as introducing creative templates and assisting in maintaining the BW libraries.
The successful candidate will produce innovative and consistent documentation, with an internal focus on templates and libraries for the Creative Services department; duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Oversee all assigned bespoke Creative Services projects, from conception to delivery, ensuring 100% quality and consistency with the BW brand.
- Work on multiple deadlines (PQQs, PTIs, Tenders) concurrently while fulfilling ongoing additional responsibilities of a Senior team member.
- Responsible for ensuring documentation produced is 100% correct; proofread, spell checked and consistent, in standard company format, before being issued to the client.
- Assisting in maintaining all processes for the Bid Design division of Creative Services, ensuring all team members adhere to the standards set and lead by example.
- Ensuring understanding of Creative Services KPIs, functions and goals.
- Ensuring quality standards for all assigned projects.
- Identifying the need for corrective actions and ensuring the quality standards for all processes.
- Engaging and co-ordinating with other senior levels across the organisation.
- Provide updates and/or reports on efficiency, productivity, processes and other performance indicators to the Head of Creative Services.
- Ensuring works are completed on time, and worked on to the senior creative designer’s own initiative as much as possible.
- Time management across all workload. Ensuring 100% record of meeting deadlines, without fail.
- Leading the innovation throughout all individual work produced.
- Actively liaising with other departments to agree the content and ideas for required documents/presentation documents.
- Liaising with the Senior Creative Designer to ensure internal brand guidelines are adhered to.
- Liaising frequently with all other bid team members involved with the tender process.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and innovations inside and outside of our industry.
- Set the standards for WDGLL for internal documentation and collateral throughout BW departments.
- Liaise with Head of Creative Services on the strategy plan, looking ahead to the future of Creative Services.
- Joint responsibility to host team meetings, tutorials, team building.
- Working with Head of Creative Services offer mentorship and training: Arrange bimonthly meetings to offer tutorials, support and training to junior team members.
- Tutoring: Hold bimonthly one-to-one meetings with junior team members to review the bid design process and provide coaching as needed.
- Bespoke process: Continue to manage the bespoke library updating it as needed, and begin compiling a portfolio of our work.
- With approval of the Head of Creative Services give input on Team collaboration ideas.
- Help plan team building social activities for the team both within the office and offsite.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the personal qualities, values and attitudes which are so important to the business and to the role:
- You must possess excellent InDesign skills; alongside good Photoshop and Illustrator skills, other Creative Cloud applications are highly recommended.
- You must possess a positive attitude and a passion for innovation and change combined with the ability to demonstrate resilience.
- A desire for self-development is valuable as is the ability to encourage ongoing development in others.
- You will also be a strong, proactive team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritise whilst showing support, encouragement and excellent organisational skills.
- You must demonstrate great attention to detail with excellence in written communication to ensure the highest possible standards of grammar and accuracy are achieved at all times.
- IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel as a minimum.
