We are hiring for Laboratory Technician to join our UK Operations offshore team on Catcher FPSO. This role will report to the Operations Superintendent. BW Offshore leverages more than four decades of experience in operating advanced offshore production systems and executing complex projects. We are proud to have executed 40 FPSO and FSO projects, and cultivated a culture of thorough engineering, trust and teamwork throughout the organisation. BW Offshore is actively engaged in the energy transition by developing clean energy production solutions, applying our offshore engineering and operations capabilities to drive future value creation. Our aim is to create tailored energy solutions for evolving global energy markets.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and analysis of crude oil, produced and injected water, cargo, relevant utility liquids and gases as per ASTM standards.
- Operate and monitor chemical injection systems in conjunction with the Operations Technicians.
- Ensure there is a sufficient stock of laboratory consumables.
- Prepare the daily lab report and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Maintain a good working environment in all working areas and ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Use IFS Maintenance Management System to generate work orders, update records etc.
- Use the Permit To Work system, prepare permits and adhere to Permit To Work requirements.
- Undertake training both on and offshore relevant to the position.
- Participate in the emergency preparedness drills, the safety meetings, and on the job training.
- Assist in any other work as directed by Department Head.
Qualifications
- Qualified as a Production Chemist is essential.
- Ideally 2 years’ experience on an offshore process plant or 3 years’ experience in an onshore process plant in a similar role.
- Offshore UK and FPSO experience is desirable.
- Previous work in a multinational environment is desirable.
