We are looking for an Offshore Electrical Technician to join BW Offshore's Offshore FPSO - Catcher.
The position is part of the offshore Maintenance Team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the power plant, electrical distribution system, and Power Management System
- Perform condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the maintenance management system
- Maintain emergency power systems and ensure electrical equipment retains the required Ex rating
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required
- Ensure compliance with SEMS, Permit to Work requirements, and safe working practices, including safe management of vendors and contractors
- Prioritize maintenance activities to ensure safety-critical backlog is kept to a minimum, coordinating work with other departments as necessary
- Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, daily logs, reports, and comprehensive shift handovers
- Participate in emergency response, safety drills, training, and on-the-job development, including supporting new colleagues and trainees
Experince:
- Offshore UK and FPSO experience is desirable but not essential
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Substantial Oil and Gas experience may be used as a substitute for formal qualifications
- Previous work in a multinational environment is desirable
Skills:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility, honesty and reliability are considered important factors
- Teamplayer, able to assist, interact and cooperate well with others
- Good computer skills
