Are you an experienced Civil or Commercial Litigation Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career within a modern, high‑performing litigation practice? BW Legal combines legal expertise with data‑driven insight, process efficiency and cutting‑edge technology to deliver high‑volume litigation strategies without compromising on quality, commerciality or client outcomes. We are now seeking a commercially astute Solicitor to join our Litigation team as part of an established senior solicitor group, working collaboratively with the Head of Department to drive performance, quality and continuous improvement across the team. This role offers genuine opportunity for an experienced litigator or someone ready to step up, to take on greater influence, responsibility and visibility within the department. For the right individual, the role can be adapted and broadened over time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage a complex and varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, with a particular focus on debt recovery and contractual disputes.
- Managing claims across Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi Track, ensuring full compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Conducting detailed case assessments and advising clients on strategy, risk and likely outcomes.
- Handling a broad range of matters, including:
- Complex debt recovery litigation.
- Commercial and B2B contractual disputes.
- Enforcement proceedings and post‑judgment recovery strategies.
- Rent recovery and statutory‑based claims.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years' PQE with solid experience in civil litigation, ideally in debt recovery or commercial disputes.
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, with experience managing cases across all tracks.
- The ability to manage a high volume caseload while maintaining excellent standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solution‑focused approach to litigation.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- A collaborative, resilient and proactive approach, with confidence to operate as part of a senior leadership layer within the team.
