About this role
We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven VP Cards to lead and scale BVNK's Cards business globally. This strategic leadership role sits at the intersection of stablecoins, payments, and card infrastructure. As VP Cards, you will own the end-to-end strategy, commercial performance, and operational execution of the stablecoin‐backed card programme, working cross‐functionally across product, engineering, compliance, operations, partnerships, and go‐to‐market teams to build a market‐leading offering for fintechs, crypto‐native businesses, trading platforms, and global enterprises.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Own the Cards product roadmap – define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and GTM.
- Manage partner ecosystem – own commercial and operational relationships with card‐related partners.
- Drive revenue and commercial growth – build the commercial strategy, own the revenue line, and lead client acquisition across target segments.
- Lead regulatory and compliance – serve as the internal authority on card issuing regulation across key markets.
- Build and lead top cards talent – recruit a cross‐functional team spanning product, commercial, operations, and compliance.
- Run card programme operations – oversee disputes, chargebacks, fraud controls, and transaction monitoring.
- Build and launch market‐leading features – partner with engineering and product to deliver next‐generation Cards product features.
- Represent Cards externally – act as the face of the product with enterprise clients, partners, regulators, and at industry events.
- Own Cards unit economics and reporting – define KPIs, track product health, and deliver executive‐level visibility into the business unit.
What we need from you
- Extensive experience leading card products, card programmes, or card infrastructure businesses within fintech, payments, banking, or crypto environments.
- Deep understanding of the global cards ecosystem, including issuing, acquiring, card schemes, processors, BIN sponsorship, interchange, and programme management.
- Proven experience owning and scaling a commercial P&L or revenue‐generating business line.
- Strong track record of building and executing product and commercial strategies in high‐growth environments.
- Experience launching and scaling card products across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of card issuing regulations, compliance frameworks, fraud controls, and operational processes.
- Demonstrated success managing strategic external partnerships and enterprise customer relationships.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes and revenue growth.
- Experience working cross‐functionally with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Go‐to‐Market teams.
- Knowledge and passion for stablecoins, crypto infrastructure, and the future of global payments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive‐level reporting and external representation.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience building and managing high‐performing teams.
